HealOzone Laser

It is one of the most modern devices in the PAINLESS treatment of decays. It is therefore also perfect for treating phobic patients and children. How does HealOzone work in practice?
Ozone is a gas (3 molecules of oxygen) that is also used in general medicine. It permeates carious enamel and dentine and it deactivates 99% of all bacteria, viruses and candida.
In the treatment of decays almost all of the acid produced by the bacteria is thereby neutralised.

STEPS:
1.Treatment:
HealOzone is used to apply a controlled dose of ozone with a silicone cap to the diseased area.The bacteria are therefore killed and the tooth surface remains untouched. The treatment time is only between 10 and 40 seconds.

2. Measurement with Laser system
To check up on the success of the treatment the affected tooth is measured using the Laser system DIAGNOdent.

3. Remineralisation solution:
After the application a special solution is applied on the tooth that encourages immediate remineralisation of the tooth.
Healozone can be used in many ways:

• painless cavity treatment
• to avoid endodontic treatment of a tooth
• prevention of cavities
• treatment of herpes and also aphtae in the mouth (often appearing when you have stress)
